To ensure you have access to the fairest PAYG tariff at the earliest time possible, we have worked with OVO to develop an offer for IGT customers. You will initially be signed up to the OVO PAYG tariff. We plan to launch a fully branded Southend Energy IGT service in 2016. You will be contacted to switch, if you so wish, once this is live.
The majority of homes in the UK are supplied by the National Grid. However, around 1 million homes use an IGT network. The quality of IGT-supplied gas is no different to normal gas, but it isn’t part of the National Grid so things work a little differently.
IGT only refers to the method by which your gas is transported to your home. So, for all intents and purposes, there is no difference to having your gas be transported by National Grid or an independent gas transporter.
You will need to refer to your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) which you can find on your energy bill. If your MPRN begins with 74, 75, 76 or 77 you are supplied by an IGT.
If you are unsure where to find it please call us on 0800 408 6711 or you can email us at email@example.com.
